Great Refresher!

This was a great book for reviewing physics material relevant to the MCAT. The practice questions and passages were quite helpful and explanations of solutions were insightful and easy to understand. I highly recommend this book for someone that needs a concise yet comprehensive refresher.

It's a fair book, but too much detail

It seems many of princeton's books suffer with adding too much detail and putting a little too much emphasis on memory; unfortunately, if I had only used this book to prepare, my score would have been a 9, at best a 10. The problem isn't with the material - it's all there... it's just that it feels like a textbook rather than a review book for a test - it's mostly problem solving (rather easy) questions rather than a detailed discussion of strategies of unraveling the basic physics in a difficult passage.
If you never took physics at all in university, this is a good book (provided you also get a source of PASSAGES for physics (this book has only 1-2 per chapter)). A better book, however, would be Nova Physics (if you are okay with reading books printed in b/w); it doesn't have many passages either, but at least it puts the emphasis in the right place (on analysis, not memory). If you did take physics, I wouldn't waste money on this book - get the EK (1 year of physics is more than enough to be able to get through the book).
In short,
This book is best for knowledge (for those who didn't take physics) (if you're aiming for a 9-11, this is an excellent resource)
Nova is best for developing good analytical skills for those who are new to physics (best imho for MCAT if you didn't take physics and you want to score higher)
EK is the best overall (although it's also short on passages), but ONLY IF YOU TOOK PHYSICS!!!!! It's highly analytical and mostly strategy.

I don't regret buying it.

Okay, so I thoroughly read multiple reviews on many prep materials. I have Exam Krackers and Berkley. For those who already have a good grasp on physics, EK is great. But for those who don't, like myself, Princeton is amazing. I got super frustrated at EK and TPR breaks it down much much better.
