Excellent book

This was an excellent review for the AP Exam. The only things I found that could have used some more explanation after taking the AP Exam are pesticides and their effects and some more forms of energy usage such as ethanol, and maybe an explanation of how crop rotation could be used with certain crops and what order to plant them. But these are minor things, and AP Exams are always trying to test things you may have not covered, but thankfully taking an actual class can fill in those gaps, although many things you may cover are extra, but nevertheless are valid things you can write down on the short repsonse. The questions on the AP Exam for the most part were things that this book covered. I got a 5 on the exam, from just reading this book and doing the chapter review questions at the end of the book. I even had about 10-20 minutes left over after completing the multiple choice part of the AP Exam. I didn't even get to do the 2 practice exams at the end of the practice book due to time contraints, but if you were to do them, you would definitely get a 5 most likely. My teacher was amazed with my score, especially since it was her first time teaching the AP Course (but she has taught several environmental science and earth science courses at a college when she was a professor) and she knew how difficult it would be to get a 5. Just read the book the whole book about a week before the exam, and do all the questions, then the night before, just read the whole thing and redo questions too if you have time for them. This book is a blessing. I can't say it enough.

Best APES book available

This book may be thin, but it covers just about everything on the APES exam. I got a 5, and it shouldn't be hard if you use the excellent (but unfortunately few) practice tests. I recommend this over Barron's because Barron's had much more information not necessary for the AP exam, and as a result, less realistic practice tests. If you want to know everything you need to know and spend less time on unnecessary details, get this book.

Good Book

Prepared me well for the AP. I used this book as my sole study resource and received a 5, given that I had taken a lower level course 2 years prior and had a moderate ability to infer the liberal agenda. This is an easy AP to study for given that the material is 10-25% science, 75-90% liberal agenda. Just know that the AP test includes a moderate amount of relatively simple mental calculations and unit conversions, which I don't recall seeing in this book.
